WATERLOO YOUTH HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
Invites you to participate in the pre-season Tune-Up Tournament on September 17th-19th, 2010.
· This is an individual tournament for all Mite, Squirt and Pee Wee and Bantam age players. Participants enter individually and will be randomly placed on a team with other Mite, Squirt or Pee Wee players from different states to form four-six teams. You will register for what level you will play at for the 2010-2011 season.
· The tournament will have a maximum of six teams at each level with roster of one goalie and 14-15 skaters. If 3/4 teams then each team will play each team once. If 6 teams then they will be divided into three pools of two teams each. The tournament will commence as round robin play with each team playing three games. Win= 2 pts, Tie = 1 pt, Loss = 0 pts. If 6 teams then highest point totals in each pool will play each other for the championship (ie. 1st in Blue Group will play 1st in Red group). If 4 teams then it is run by the points system and the tiebreakers are head to head, GF-GA, and then fewest penalty minutes. If 3 teams, play each team, points determine playoff positions, 1 team could have 4 games.
· This tournament is designed as a fun way to begin the season by giving players a chance to play with and compete against players from all over the state and region. This is guaranteed to be a fun filled event for all!
· No checking or slap-shots at any level. Touch-up off-sides for Pee Wee & Bantam.
· Entry fee is $60 per skater and $35 per goalie. All player participation is based on first come first serve basis until all registrations are filled.
· Each player will receive a game jersey. Coaches will be provided.
· All players will receive individual awards.
· Game times will be announced at a later date once the teams have been chosen. All games will be played at the Young Ice Arena, 125 Commercial Street, Waterloo, Iowa, 50701.
· Entry deadline is Friday, August 27th, 2010.
· Absolutely no refunds will be issued for any reason after Sept 10th.
